About Us

[ PHILANTHROPY ]: An Otasune Fanzine is a charity zine project focused on Solid Snake and Otacon's Philanthropy era from Konami's Metal Gear Solid series. This zine is not only a celebration of their relationship, but it also about their shared mission to save the world from the military industrial complex, Patriot manipulation of society, and nuclear-capable Metal Gear proliferation.

This non-profit zine was made possible thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of over 80 fans from across the world contributing over 200 pages of art, fics, and comics to celebrate Otasune and raise funds for charity.

Proceeds from this charity zine will be donated to The August Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing care and comfort for Alaska’s retired professional sled dogs. While we are not affiliated with this foundation, we are all honored to be donating to a cause that we feel so passionately about (and we think Solid Snake would agree!)
